Let the Good Times Roll - Declutter your house and make some cash

Boy does it feel good to have a fresh start.

I am really enjoying my new role of marketing director for The Sellery.

That is why I am excited to promote our awesome service.

If you have items you would like to sell and live in or around the Austin, Texas area call The Sellery and see if they can help you.

If your items meet the criteria then the Sellery will list them on eBay for you and ship them out once they sell.

After the sale, they send you a check for the proceeds minus their commission.

Visit TheSellery.com for more information.

Don't be offended if your items do not meet the criteria.

There is a reason that the Sellery is Austin's only remaining eBay Drop off shop.

They do not list items that sell under $50.

Happy Holidays are upon us

Season's greetings to all eBayer's and consignment sellers across the globe.

This is a time to rejoice and be happy!

I am very happy with 2008 and hope that 2009 brings us more good fortune and plenty of friendships.

Here is the news you have all been waiting for.

Exactly two years ago I rented an office for my business.

It was a giant step in my own life and would prove to teach me more about business and what it means to not work from home anymore.

It also meant that the door was open to competition like TheSellery.com who moved in 2 doors down from me.

At the time I was more hard headed and naive about a possible partnership between both of our companies only because I lacked experience in the matter.

I thought, any information I give away will come back to haunt my business.

After much consideration I realized that Vendelo needed help in key areas that TheSellery succeeded in and they needed help in areas I was successful in.

A partnership was inevitable if we could reach an agreement.

Well, the agreement is here and I am proud to keep Austin Ebay Consignors happy by joining forces with the Sellery.

Officially, as of 11/20/2008 Vendelo is now an online directory for Austin eBay consignment services.

I have left it alone and will use my skills as the new director of Advertising for Austin's best and only eBay consignment service experts, TheSellery.com.

If you are a past client of Vendelo do not worry.

This only means that consigning with TheSellery is now bigger, better and faster.

I encourage all my clients and anyone looking to sell something on eBay to call 512-788-5205 and set up an appointment today.

Thanks and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

More stories about ebay and the economy

Here is a nicely written article about an eBay Isold it store, an eBay powerseller and what is happening over at eBay.

I'm startled by the fact they are cutting 1,600 jobs.

I guess it is a sign that the dot com boom was not that long ago.

The online economies need real money too.

It gets interesting when they talk about how more items sold on eBay but for less value.

He mentions that the Isold it store is receiving more clients that are trying to pay the rent.

This lead me to change up my policies here at Vendelo.

In an effort to help more people, I have decided to consign a larger variety of items.

You can now call us to consign: Antiques, Collectibles, and almost anything in between.

The important thing is that we all agree on a fair market value for your item and it must be over $50.

Remember also that our commission tier gets lower the higher the final selling price.

Sell more, net more.

In the past, people have called and I have turned them away to other sellers because we did not have the resources to be able to sell them effectively.

Now we do.

So come on Austin, let's make this holiday season a smart one.

Let us sell your old gadgets so you can have money to buy new ones.

You can go here to see what items we sell.

Vendelo Ebay Consignment Work at Home Opportunity Austin

It has been 3 1/2 years since I founded Vendelo and the business has rewritten it's plan one more time.

A while back I thought that it would work as a network of work at home ebayers instead of a "drop off center".

It turns out that both models do work but they both require specific needs.

If you run a drop off shop then the most important thing to take care of each month is covering your overhead (rent, utilities etc) with enough consignments.

If you work from home you don't have any operating costs other than internet provider.

That is why I am now looking to franchise Vendelo to stay at home PowerSellers in the Greater Austin area.

Here are the requirements to successfully run a Vendelo biz from home:

  1. You must currently be an eBay PowerSeller with feedback of at least 1000
  2. You must have a minimum 10 years experience on eBay
  3. You must have a designated work space at home with at least 125 Square feet
Here are the costs of running your own Vendelo biz from home:
  1. Royalty fee of 5% taken from gross of each sale
  2. eBay Fees paid monthly (2% avg)
  3. PayPal fees paid instantly when payments are received from buyers (2% avg)
  4. Equipment and Supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, scale, digital camera etc) (<--you have most of these already)
Make a sale and start making money instantly.

This is a great opportunity for stay at home moms or someone who needs a supplemental source of income.

All you have to do is list other peoples stuff on eBay and ship it once it sells.

You have the choice of what you list!

In fact, you are encouraged to be as picky as possible so as to only list items that you can manage and are worth your time.

Here is the cool part.

There is not much risk involved.

First of all, there is no cold-calling or pressure to make sales.

All leads call your phone number directly from the Vendelo website.

If you are interested in making some money with Vendelo selling high quality consignments from home then send me an email at ArmandoFiloteo@gmail.com with your name, EBay id, email address and phone number and I will be glad to get back to you.

Funny stand up video about trying to ship a package

I came across this blog called ShippingCoach that gives very practical information about how to save on shipping. There are tips and tricks that most eBay sellers will find very useful.

There is also a video of comedian Brian Regan that is hilarious. He tries to get UPS to come pick up some packages but feels helpless when they ask him what the "girth" of each package is.

Conrad Johnson PV-7 Amp sets record number of watchers for Vendelo Auction

With 4 days and 5 hours left, the Conrad Johnson PV-7 eBay auction has 90 watchers already.

I will update this posting when the auction ends because this totally beats the previous record of 70 by a snare drum I sold signed by Craviotto.

***March 17, 1:34 pm***
100 watchers with 3 days 7 hours left.

***March 18, 2:19 pm***
109 watchers with 3 days 6 hours left
plus it has made it to AuctionHitList.com's most watched eBay auctions under consumer electronics!
